Our Story

Founded and created by Andy Price, WestBeach began back in 2000. An old council run building with no windows used for takeaway burgers and hotdogs. As a child, Andy and his brother used to sell melons to tourists along the promenade, so when he saw the building was up for tender, he had to go for it.

The original concept for WestBeach was a Mediterranean tapas style restaurant. The entire building was refitted with bifold doors, and Boston New England shabby chic decor.

Using locally sourced ingredients, the head chef at the time happened to also be a fisherman with a specific interest in seafood. WestBeach the seafood restaurant was  born.

In the year 2002 WestBeach received a national write up and 1 AA rosette.
2004, WestBeach was awarded AA 2 rosettes.
2005, WestBeach was nominated as the AA best seafood restaurant in England.
2007, WestBeach was awarded best Seafood restaurant in England by industry standard Seafresh.
